These dead plants fell into the brackish water, and the lack of oxygen there prevented the wood from rotting away, so as more and more was piled up, the pressure turned the wood initially into peat, then various types of coal and finally into crude oil. As there is plenty if oil in the Arab peninsula and Alaska and in Russia, it is logical, that there had been tropical rainforests in those areas. Only massive climate changes could have made this possible. These dead plants fell into the brackish water, and the lack of oxygen there prevented the wood from rotting away, so as more and more was piled up, the pressure turned the wood initially into peat, t...See more
Personally I don't believe in man ( or woman) made climate change, because this is going on since this planet came to exist. Even the polar regions have shifted significantly together with the magnetic field. The proof for this lies precisely in what is now blamed fir causing pollution : coal, oil and natural gas. These originate from ancient tropical and swampy rainforests, in which huge plants lived and diedPersonally I don't believe in man ( or woman) made climate change, because this is going on since this planet came to exist.
