Well, I think a lot people are fans of Game of Thrones - me included! I watch a lot of series, many at the same time, get quickly bored (most series should stop at three seasons and not go beyond that limit, which usually means jumping the shark - but exceptions do exist).
I'm not a fan of comedy series but my long time favourite is Little Britain (I have all on DVDs and when I'm particularly stressed out or depressed I watch one episode before going to bed - just to regain my composure and peace of mind

I love series that are not so brand new like Twin Peaks (I'm a Lynch fanatic) or Six Feet Under. I adore those British crime series with a twist, like Luther, Shadow Line, Whitechapel and of course BBC's Sherlock and Wallander.
I've been watching Dexter, The Closer, Fringe, Justified, White Collar and Nip/Tuck from season one. I really enjoyed first season of American Horror Story and I'm looking forward to the second one.
Sadly, a lot of series I loved have been cancelled - United States of Tara, Lie to Me and most likely, The Killing is for the chop too. The Killing is IMO the best crime series that has been aired in the past few years - dark, gloomy, with incredible climate.
