Hi and welcome, Karin. I guess it depends on what you want to do, how the site works. to search for people, click the search button near the top of the page. Enter your criteria in, and hit search. Then view the profiles and send Private Messages ( PM's) to those that interest you.
You seem to have figured out how to post a new topic here in the forums, and you are welcome to join us in the forums for chit chat anytime.
Other stuff you can likely find on your dashboard, see the link to the FAQ's there. or in the Help forum if it is not in the FAQ's.
If you can't find the answer to your specific question in the FAQ's or help forum, please post it in the help forum so we can get an answer to you. Chances are real good you are not the only person with that question so you will help others by posting it there.
