the pics are too far away for me to make any decent conclusions from. But as far as I'm concerned I think it is extremely narrow minded of us humans to think we are the only form of intelligent life within this and other galaxies / universes.

Those that think we are the most advanced species are also way too narrow minded in their thinking. We have no idea what or who else is out there, and putting ourselves at the top of the food chain before we learn about the rest of the food chain is a fatal flaw in thinking and planning.

That is just my 2 cents on the matter

its hard to get a size perspective in these photos. I find its shape interesting. it sure ain't no rock, it falls under space junk or martian hilux.

this is kind of oddball... no real info on pics like this..

it was all over the internet being compared to a giant water valve.

it is maybe 10 mm in diameter at the most,  just a guess.

but regardless of size it ain't normal.... so somebody at NASA with a copy of photoshop is a practical joker or I smell something fishy.

I'm guessing you are speaking about the almost "x" or "cross" shape inside the circle, Q?

if so, it sure doesn't seem natural at all, but with all the sand around it and me not being anything close to a geologist that is another hard guess to make.

You might think that Rover was equipped with a paint brush object to whisk away the sand on top so a better view could be had... but that would have added another billion in construction costs to the rover, right??

the crevice itself is also intriguing. the Rover has wheels that would leave flat, almost track like imprints. we've been told there is almost no atmosphere on Mars and led to believe that the surface resembles a beach or a desert made of mostly iron oxide (red stuff similar to the grounds in Arizona, New Mexico)..... so how did a crevice get there, and leave no apparent imprint?? Unless that was done by one of the Rover's tools....

yep pretty odd an X inside a circle out in the middle of nowhere..

shadow, or it just a crappy picture from a crappy camera.  or is it Memorex.

I could see them stopping in for a trappist ale or a scrumpy, I sure would.

Did you know, that Frisbees are excellent as makesgift UFOs ? They even can be airborne for a few seconds, and bon a photo taken with a relatively slow shutter speed, it will blur conveniently making it impossible to judge distance against the sky. Of course there are never any UFO pictures of high quality... And neither are there any of Nessie !
