Age Difference (Gap) | Forum

Yes age difference would be an issue for some. The level maturity would play an good part in it. An 23 year woman would not know how to handle and 35 year old man due to his older age. To me the best age to me would be like four years apart..

One thing for sure: regardless of your own opinion on the subject, you should respect the opinion of a person you are trying to contact. You might think the age difference between you doesn't matter, but if they think otherwise please DO NOT BOTHER THEM.

Please pay attention to an age range people specify in their profiles and respect their wish. Contacting people of the wrong age (when they DO NOT WANT somebody in your age range) and then, after they say "no thanks, are too young or too old", to start moaning "oh please, age is just a number" is extremely annoying.

The serious people who take time to fill out their profile will always indicate if they are willing to only meet people for dating and relationship or don't mind chatting with just friends. It's also important to pay attention what people are looking for. Not everybody wants online friends and chat buddies, they are busy, they have enough friends in real life to talk to, they only want to find a partner, therefore to bother such people to just ask a question about something in their profile is also wrong. Their profile has to state that they are also looking for friends, than it's okay to contact any age.

Also, you have to keep in mind that the VAST majority of this site is not looking for friends, except for maybe the handful of people on this forum and those who specifically indicate it in their profile description. So, you will get a very low response rate if you sound like you are not interested in a woman, but just want to chat.

you don't like the site, you don't like the owner, you always argue with me, and at the same time you are enjoying the result of my HARD work for free. I spend hours daily trying to keep scammers away, and protect people, you are using my work while constantly expressing your low opinion of me, of the members and of the site in you prolix mile long posts.

I think you don't fit my site. Goodbye.

I once dated a man that was 10 years older and we had so many things that were different that it did not work. Although if someone is not there age maybe it could work. Some people are more open to change and are younger in there heart/mind. Then  they are not their actual age.

Of course it matters. The reasons are so obvious it is not worth wasting time listing them.

What is an acceptable age gap?

age doesn't matter to a certain extent  of gap in age but distance matters in my opinion......100 miles more acceptable than 1000 or more of coarse

biological age difference doesn't really matter... but most likely it would be awkward meeting a guy in my sons age ;-)

Age is only a number. In reality as long as both parties are consenting adults, and they're ok with it. What the heck does it matter?

Well, my ex is now 22. I'm 43.....but we met mentally.....and she was the love of my life, balls to bones. so, you can never expect the unexpected. Life has a habit of throwing a curve ball. It's just the way of things.
