Possibly it did, Classy. The goal I had in posting it here was that more people should know what they eat by making it themselves, as opposed to buying processed and pre-manufactured foods.

When still in highschool in Germany I had a summer vacation job in a canning company  they were canning cherries, when I worked there. The cherries went onto a slow conveyor belt for manual sorting, and all the blemished, moldy and rotten cherries were removed  but not  discarded ! Instead they were tipped into a large plastic vat, which contsined sulphuric acid. The acid dissolved the fruit (and maggots therein) and the clean pips and wooden parts of the stems sank to the bottom and could be removed easily with a strainer, after the thick liquid was chemically neutralized. This liquid was further processed and became cherry jelly...  Of course this process works with all types of fruit.  Bon appetit !

I had to stop watching before I cleaned out my freezer and switched to eating grass clippings. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Bon appetit
