Is this site a scam ? I ask because they have some very strange rules, and they act as if your guaranteed to meet someone.  Also the signup form seems suspect too. I cannot put all my eggs in just one basket, i've been here a few years now and not met or spoken to a single woman off here yet.

Thats why I am asking about e-harmony. I also heard they got busted for something like false advertising in the USA a few years ago?  I think they even charged per message and pretended it was free, just to lure people in.  I dont know much about them, except the 'so called' testimonals and i am not really sure what to make of them either.  They could be as scripted and blatant as trustpilot where its known most employees pretend to be the customers and give fake reviews. anyone know anything about e-harmony or any other site that 'works without the scams' aside from here? Iam kind of hopeless at this

I don't think they are scam, they are a very old corporate site. But of course they have scammers, as on the big sites nobody cares and it's impossible to check profiles.

Maybe there are safer sites out there, but they will be small, just like this one, because the only way to stop scammers is to check manually every profile, BEFORE it becomes active. Only small sites with a few dozens of registrations per day can do that, but your choices of real people will be limited as well.

You state that you've been here a few years without meeting someone.  Have you tried to contact anyone yourself?  It might help if you expand on your profile, tell a little about yourself as well as the type of person you would like to meet.  Think about what you would like to read when looking at someone's profile, hobbies, sports, interests...

With no info in your profile you can hardly expect to catch someone's interest.  You don't need to write your life story, just enough to attract attention.  Leave the deeper discussions til later.  It's a bit like going window shopping.  The shopkeeper displays a variety of objects to attract a buyer into their shop.  Once inside the buyer can then get more info on the item that attracted them.

That's what your profile is, a window into you.  Give it a try and good luck.

Harmony has weird rules for it's clientele. Okcupid used to be good until they hired hookers to run it. Match.com used to have nice outdoor venues until covid19 cancelled all large parties. I like Agnostic.com but there are too many transgendered satanists who are too easily offended about my jokes against Trump. It just goes to show you that these rich people have no sense of humor.

I decided to give eharmony a shot, seems like they practice some weird voodoo or something with their strange matching system. I didn't buy any of it seemed like a lot of rubbish to me.  Also the userbase for my area was extremely tiny.  I spoke to a few and they where of the same opinion that its a bit of a con at eharmony.  They claim to have a large user base, but with the way they do things, and the poor quality matching system, the system randomly throws out people who be great for me to get to know, yet their matching system completely disagreed.  I cancelled within the first month, because i realized almost right away that all i would be doing is throwing money away for absolutely no reason what so ever!  It matched me with dead accounts, it matched me with wrong people. Abslute and utter waste of money, they should be investigated, because it seems to me, they are just money grabbing, some people are getting free full accounts to make it seem like the site is genuine and using them to pretend they are singles so they can keep charging us to interact with them. no thanks. I even wrote an email to them telling them exactly what I thought. They refunded me and aplogized. never again. lesson learned.
