9 years ago I was a member on this site and got a friendly email from a man in Morocco. We started chatting and I eventually flew to Morocco to meet him. We have now been married almost 7 years and he is here with me and is a US Citizen. I can't believe how fast time has gone. I will always be grateful to this site - without it I would no be happily married to wonderful man! Going through the Visa process to get him here was not easy but the separation during the process just made us stronger.

Yes we started talking on this site in 2011 and got married in 2013 in Morocco. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I remember it like it was yesterday when I took my first trip to meet him. Now we are just a regular married couple both of us working and enjoying life. I was so proud when he took his Citizenship oath. It was a crazy journey but I wouldn't change anything. And believe me when I first came on here I had zero expectations other than the hope to make a few friends and learn about life in other countries. It just proves you never know what life has in store for you. And don't be afraid to take a chance and talk to someone. You never know.

I was with Lia when she took her citizenship oath. it was really a touching ceremony and really got me to thinking about how lucky we are to have been born here in the USA. I know what she went through to study for the test (she pointed out how many things here in CA differ from reality). We sure take a lot for granted in this country, and most of us have no idea of even what a small portion of that is.
