since this topic has not been replied to in days I will make the suggestion to the OP that he does a search and sends private messages to people he thinks may live in areas where "weed" is legal. My thinking is that either it is not legal in enough places that people are willing to talk about it in public, or a similar reason.

Although I know, what this post is about, I am not inclined to try. When I lived in the Caribbean, my next door neighbor was a Rastafarian, who used "weed" regularly on Sunday afternoons. Actually it smells wuite nice (some smoke came in through the open front room window). Rastafarians use it for religious readons to help meditating. Although it is illegal on that island, even the prime minister was known to smoke it and was even caught using it. So, who am I to judge ? I did not tell on my neighbor, who was a very honest man, an otherwise law-abiding citizen and an excellent basketball player.
In my experience alcoholics are a lot more dangerous, despite what the official narrative is.
I do not use either.
