Update on the pepper plants, brought in from outside, and the small babies that I started as seedlings a few weeks ago.

I had heard (through the grapevine) that plants react to attention, such as singing, talking, and music... so... with that in mind, I figured: What the heck? It can't hurt anything." So here is my serenade to my "hot peppers".... ~JOHN~

I'm hoping the small ones in the cups are the babies, John. If the ones in the buckets are your baby plants, I know a lot of growers that are going to want your soil recipe, light spectrum / hours, and what you put in the water.... what type of chili's are they? many and varied or can you name it / them?I'm hoping the small ones in the cups are the babies, John. Well, Billy... this is my first year to venture into this. It started out as a "fluke" with the fertilizer I bought (long story)... My postman has a garden with 40+ pepper varieties, and I ask him a lot of questions. He sampled one, and said they were Cyanine, of which I have 25 plants going. Then later I noticed differences between 2 of my plants. One plant (in a container by itself, was fat, and of a plump size (maybe the size of my thumb)! The other plant, in separate container was producing long (up to 5" and slim peppers....! I figured there was a different name to these 2 peppers, but still in the chili family. So, just a mixed bunch. Now the small cups in the video are a new set from seeds that I saved from the ones outside. But, I have some extra that I dried out in there as well (Mexican Chili Peppers). These I have under the lights, and still growing. I have since, acquired 75 seeds of the Carolina Reaper, and 3 of the Chocolate 7 Pot seeds that I am saving for next season to plant. Also dehydrated some Sweet Peppers, Bell Peppers, Hot Banana Peppers... to add to my catalog of seeds to experiment with this upcoming plant time... Before I got into these pepper issues, I was planting Roses, of many different names/types... But, I realized that they were too troublesome. Takes too much attention with roses... So, I was really looking for something that was not as much work. This is where the Peppers come into play. I had a new set of roses due to be delivered, so I bought some fertilizer that was of a cheaper price. Well, many days passed, and I started odd looking growth beside my roses that were not roses. I started to pull them, remove the weeds... but with hesitation, I noticed there were flower buds on these "weeds", so I figured I'd let that grow, and see what they were later. Well, wouldn't you know it... they turned out to be PEPPER plants that the seeds had come in the fertilizer (of which I didn't like, because of the "mud" look it turned out to be). So, now you know how I accidentally got into the pepper growing.... Anxious to see what I end up with next year... Oh, and I have acquired a new taste for peppers now.... Have a good day... ~JOHN~Well, Billy... this is my first year to venture into this. It started out as a "fluke" with the fertilizer I bought (long story)... You must have part Creole in you, or its just the Southern boy in you if the Cayenne pepper is something you enjoy..... without a ton of milk or cheese to calm it down The scoville scale on them is pretty high. You must have part Creole in you, or its just the Southern boy in you if the Cayenne pepper is something you enjoy..... without a ton of milk or cheese to calm it down See more

Cayenne pepper (or capsicum as it’s sometimes referred to as) is rated typically anywhere from 30,000 to 190,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) on the Scoville Rating Scale.

I didn't double check it, but it seems like a fair scale to me anyhow...

It's the Southern Cherokee Boy in me. Not sure of the percentage! And can't wait to start the planting of the Carolina Reaper Pepper. Already been warned on that one...
