About me | In a nutshell: Chronologically 56, but not feeling or looking it. Not hard to look at I'm told (yes I will pay you now), slim, physically fit, great sense of humor (at times twisted but never demeaning), and very intelligent. I can be very funny and love making people laugh....sometimes to the point of peeing their pants. I'm down to earth, positive, and well grounded which I think would make me a good lightning rod. I work hard and I play harder. I'm protective, but never overbearing of those who are close to me. I enjoy cooking and can cook anything. I'm just finishing building my own home recording studio and spend a lot of my spare time with music production, mixing, etc. I'm spontaneous, not impulsive. Adventurous, not foolhardy. I love flying in helicopters and have been seen jumping from perfectly good airplanes for fun. I balance things out with lots of charm, optimism, honesty, and sincerity . I'm fun to be with and I know how to take care of my woman in all the right ways. By that I mean with flowers, surprises, scented oil massages, and candle lit dinners when you least expect it. But, let your mind wander. You won't be disappointed in the other areas either. What I'm looking for: I'm looking for an open minded, optimistic woman with energy to spare who prefers music over television. If you're the jealous type or lacking in self esteem, we wouldn't stand much of a chance. I'll still get the door for you even if you burned your bra in the 70's. You'll have plenty of freedom and your own time if you want because I know at the end of the day, you'll be there in my arms where you belong and want to be. Of course I'll need to know what's going on behind that beautiful exterior and warm friendly smile of yours, so communication is a must, even if you have to use smoke signals or send me Morse Code. I like someone who's not afraid to say what's on their mind, especially as to what she wants and/or expects in our relationship as my mind reading skills have diminished over the years. Honesty and fidelity are a must, and an above average sense of humor is a big plus! While casual dating is OK for some, it's not at the top of my list. What I am looking for in the near term is friendship, fun, and romance with one special lady. As for the long term, a happy, lasting, monogamous relationship. What I'm doing with my life: I keep busy. Working, volunteering where I can either teaching computer science at the community center to the elderly or at the humane society working with companion animals. Trying to write a book and have it published within the next year or so. Seems like there's never a dull moment. I have too many hobbies for that to happen. I'm really good at: Listening, writing, photography, cooking, (NOTE: I'm not a slow cook or a fast cook. More like a half fast cook), home repair and fixing just about any electronic device you can find in a home. Making people laugh regardless of how bad their day might have been. Converting negative energy into positive energy. The first thing people usually notice about me: My optimistic and positive outlook on all things. The glass is never half full. It's either overflowing or at the very least, refillable. And technically, even if the glass is only half full of water, the other half is filled with air so it's still full. My favorite books, music, movies, and food: When it comes to books, I like science fiction. I tend to read a lot of technical stuff as well. For music, it's the Blues. I also produce, record, and engineer music in my home studio. Just getting started but it's a blast. For food, I'll eat anything but Monkey brains. I tried them once but when I was trying to slice them, they popped off of my plate onto the floor and I accidentally kicked them whilst trying to reconnoiter where they'd fallen only to have them fly under the table into my friends dogs waiting mouth. Turns out my friends dog loves Monkey brains. Seconds anyone? The six things I could never do without: My family and friends Music My four legged friends. Laughter.....Lots of laughter Learning new things every day. Like how to count. :) I spend a lot of time thinking about: If bats, (the nocturnal, flying mammals) hang around during the day worrying about incontinence. Our troops deployed overseas who would willingly give their life to defend the freedoms we enjoy here and all too often take for granted. Why there is no "infomercial" channel on TV. Why our education system is so archaic and messed up and how it can be fixed. How nice it would be to no longer have a profile on this web site. If the square root of 69 is 8 something. On a typical Friday night I am: Keeping myself entertained either out in the studio or talking to amateur radio operators around the world. Or just kicking it and listening to some good Blues. TV is not an option. The most private thing I’m willing to admit: Ég hef verið fórnarlamb eigin bjartsýni mína þegar það kemur að elska. Do you speak Icelandic? You should message me if: You're wondering what it is like to be treated with respect. If the words "karma" and "destiny" are not foreign to you. If we've ever met in a previous life and you want to get reacquainted. (kidding). If music and humor are important to you. If negativity and cynicism bounce off of you like "Deflecto-man". If you're positive and you're sure of it. If you want a friend who really knows what the word "friend" means. Or if any of the following makes sense. |
