8 Nostradamus Prophecies For 2016

Longer lifespans.

Nostradamus predicted that people born in 2016 will be able to live for more than 200 years and that 80 will be the new 50. Good news for all the new years babies.

The western world will abolish taxes.

In 2016, a great revolt will end taxes forever. Maybe President Trump, in his admiration for Somalia's economy, will make it so.

You'll need a permit to have kids.

Talk about taking Planned Parenthood to a new level. The seer predicted that by 2016, you would need a license and permit to bear children.

Massive earthquakes.

In particular, a huge earthquake will strike the western United States. The quake will be felt all over the world.

World War III

In 2016, WWIII will begin. It will last for 27 years. The war will begin with the appearance of a comet in the sky.

Vesuvius will erupt.

Nostradamus predicted it but scientists disagree. Mount Vesuvius has been rather quiet for the last 72 years and is expected to stay that way.

Humanity will make peace with animals.

"Pigs will become a brother to man," the seer wrote of 2016. Some believe that this is an indication humanity will stop butchering animals. Some think this means we'll develop technology to talk to our pets.

A world language will appear.

“After the invention of a new engine, the world will be like in the days before Babel." Many think the engine in question is the Internet and that the technology will eventually create one world language.

hmm that certainly makes you pause for thought, doesn't it?

Longer life, ok with the advances in medicine... quite possible.

End of taxes? Not unless they find another/easier way to fleece us.

License to have children? Quick way to start an uprising and the world is not overcrowded so unnecessary.

West coast US earthquake? That has been expected for so long, must happen one day.

WWIII, the way ISIL is going it could be very soon. But 27 years, pray it's not so.

Mt Vesuvius, who knows?

Pigs? Brother? We'll see. This is far fetched and could have an altogether different meaning.

English does seem to be becoming the international language.

Nostradamus made a lot of predictions that have either come true, or are in the process.... an EQ here in the new land ( America wasn't even discovered by Europeans yet when he lived, so he couldn't name it) real soon, Marisa... some say California will sink into the ocean when it happens. Vegas will be beach front property then..

He's actually a very amazing profit if you choose to see him that way. It is really worth having a look into his writings / life. The biggest drag is since the inquisitions were going on while he was living, that is the reason he gave for being so vague. Something to the effect of " so the good people can change the future, and the evil ones won't recognize it". what he was doing was highly against church teachings, and the church had more power than any single country in those days ( at least in Europe).

I'm curious about one thing, Louise. Where did you get this information? I was looking for it and found this 2015 site, with very similar statements... Predictions They are ordered differently, but appear to be the same or close to the same predictions.

I'm not a "scholar" on Nostradamus by any means, but to the best of my knowledge he never wrote anything in a year format. He always used "time periods" such as "after the 2 brothers run the world for 7 years, the elder will remove himself" ( or something similar).....

Many interpret that as saying that the US and Russia ( the two world powers are brothers) will actually become allies for a 7 year period, then the elder ( Russia is older) will decide they don't like the partnership anymore.

Isn't it funny how Russia is now fighting ISIS ( ISIL) which is effectively being our ally in this one circumstance?? Could it make the prediction true? Only we can decide for ourselves.

and I did make one error in my earlier statement, when he lived America had been discovered by the Europeans. But it did not yet have the name "America". It was only Colonies back then.

Can't remember where I found it Billy. Anything that comes out in year format is obviously 'ordered' by the author of the article. Nostramadus wrote in quatrains (4 line poems) that he 'shuffled' so there was no order.

Maybe if things didn't happen in 2015 they were pushed on to 2016 by the article author. But I can't see taxes being dropped any time soon. Governments need money to run the country, roads, health, transport etc. and until they find a alternate method to get that money we're stuck with taxes. Maybe some time in the future??

Longer life? That has been talked of for a long time because of the advances in medical care which will continue to happen. Hundreds of years ago the lifespan was around 40 odd years, now it's 80. There's no reason that shouldn't continue but is not specific to 2016.

License to have children? I suppose we could see that as the limit on families imposed by China years ago.

The US earthquake has been known of for a very long time, only the 'when' of it is unknown.

Because Nostradamus had to hide the timing his predictions are interpreted by the readers knowledge of events... even as I have done here.

I had heard of Baba Vanga and Googled to get that info.

I agree on the taxes, with one exception I can imagine. If things drop all forms of Capitalism, and we have to start working in complete exchange for our well being and all "things" we want.... we would no longer pay tax from our salaries, but think slavery instead..... wow, I don't like that thought at all.

Medical advances I think are responsible for many reasons we now live longer than age 30 or so.... and along those same lines is why I think the pig gets to be man's best friend comes from. We've been using pig hearts and pieces to replace human parts for many years now, and I got a feeling they will figure out how to do more and more with human replacement pig parts.

I do think the licensing for children will only be in certain parts of the world, the ones that are over populated. But I don't think it is beyond imagination at all, possibly even for highly diseased areas of the world, such as Africa where HIV / AIDS is very common. On second though, enforcing laws in Africa is already almost non existent, so new ones won't help.

California falling into the Pacific has been a part of folklore for centuries... I hope it doesn't happen as long as I live here

Nostradamus along with Davinci, Einstein, Tesla, and a few others are people from history that had great visions. Some ( maybe even most) said they were crazy ( and they may have been). But the result of the genius these guys gave us is not measurable. Its only been a few hundred years, and we no longer need to ride horses / mules.. pull carts or work fields with animals and hand tools.

News happens now and seconds later it is broadcast all over the world. It no longer takes a week or 2 to get from one side to the other ( some countries wish this was not the case), they do all they can to stop it.
