The gist of that is that you cannot expect success on a dating website unless you are willing to put in some effort to find and then build a relationship.
In this age of instant communication (and sometimes gratification) it's easy to get caught up in wanting something "now." I would like to offer an a sort of an analogy that seems to apply to on-line dating.
There are usually 3 things people want when looking for something:
1. Cheap
2. Fast
3. Good
I am here to tell you that you can, at most, get 2 of those 3 things.
You can have Cheap and Fast, but it will NOT be Good.
You can have Cheap and Good, but it will NOT be Fast.
You can have Good and Fast, but it will NOT be Cheap.
If you apply the above to on-line dating, and given that this is a free website, do not think things will go Fast or Cheap. In this instance by Cheap I am referring to the time and effort one needs to put into fostering a worthwhile relationship. As far as Fast, well that goes to the time and effort needed as well, do NOT expect Fast if you want something worthwhile and long lasting.
So, be Good to yourself. Invest in your future, invest in your future partner in life.
