What the hell? Xena dies? I didn't know that and I used to watch it all the time. My daughter has the first season on DVD and cried when I showed her that link. We are going to have to look for the rest of the episodes. I am stunned.
She has the first season of Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) and almost all the episodes of Sinbad (Zen Gesner) as well. We both love them. Funny thing is I was pregnant with her when I was watching all three of them. Interesting.
I also love the old Battlestar Gallactica (Dirk Benedict) and Star Trek - The Next Generation, etc. Like the movies as well. Andromoda (speaking of Kevin Sorbo! Yummy! Ha) is really good as well. They had a convention here as well with Dirk Benedict but I didn't have anyone to go with. My ex wasn't into that.

Keep your Jerry Ryan. I used to think Kes (Jennifer Lien) was great and I could listen to that soft voice of hers all day. A tiny slip of a girl but even Neelix found that it wasn't wise to cross her and she had more guts than Chakotay and Torres put together.
I like anything with a space theme, Andromeda (Rommy (Beka Valentine) could light my fire anytime ), Farscape and all the classics.
I wasn't really struck on DS9 though, something about it being mostly on the station. I thought the friendly battles between Odo and Quark were well thought out and a few of the characters like Odo, Jadzir Dax and Major Kira and Gul Ducat were very strong. There were the opposites like Bashir who would have been better off as a bit player. My only real favourite characters from that series were Odo, Jadzir Dax and Quark, (a rogue although you couldn't help but like him).
I notice that nobody has mentioned Lex, a spoof but a good one. Kai of the Brunnen-G (Michael McManus)was one of the best characters in that, who could forget the Brunnen-G battle song?

Also Lyekka (Louise Wischermann), a plant that could assume human form and sacrificed herself to save Stanley and the others. _________________ When you open a door, it is for you to choose to go through it.

aussie_bloke79 - the "Stargate" series are available in DVD. Perhaps you could check out your neighbourhood DVD rental store.
It's also worthwhile to view the original Stargate movie that started this series spin-off.
Cheers!
Sci-fi fan....

Is anyone familiar with '39, a song written by Brian May and released in A NIGHT AT THE OPERA? A delightful little sci-fi tune with a country beat.
