Again, your description doesn't tell very much. You could mention the type of work you do, particular hobbies or sports that take your interest or participate in. Read through the suggestions to others in this thread to get ideas.
A photo with a smile might help.
But nothing will make people respond to you if they don't feel some sort of connection. That means you need to give a little information about yourself, not your life story, just enough to raise their interest and create a talking point.

In addition to what Louise said, I'd offer that a week is not a whole lot of time to start with.
If you really want to have people learn about you, then get active here on the forum boards. I see as of now you have 6 posts. People will get to know you even if they don't post on the boards, because many read them. They're just too shy (or another adjective) to post. Studies show that those who post tend to find partners at a much more advanced rate than those that don't post.
Keep in mind the entire world can see what you post here, and follow the guidelines of the forum itself.

They say that patience is a virtue, guess I need to give it some time. I see some things that interest me but I do not want to be the attention hound and post everywhere about everything. I have been out of commission for a long time, seems like it might be time to learn some new things. Thanks for the advice.
